Stitches Control

Relief pattern: 20 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Border: 8 rows = 3 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 124 (146) sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Don’t take this row into account. Then, work with patterns order. In 9.5 cm = 26 rows from the finish of the border, decrease 18 (20) sts for better fitting = 106 (126) sts. Decrease 8 (9) sts in the 41st row from the end of the border and decrease 6 (7) sts in the 55th row = 92 (110) sts. In 28 cm = 72 rows from the beginning of the relief pattern, bind off 1 x 3 (4) sts for armholes from both sides and then, 3 x 2 sts and 3 (4) x 1 st in every 2nd row = 68 (82) sts. In 13.5 cm = 36 rows (17 cm = 46 rows) from the end of the relief pattern, bind off the central 30 (34) sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 15.5 cm = 42 rows (19 cm = 52 rows) from the end of the relief pattern, bind off the rest 13 (18) sts of the shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way as the back, but with a V-shaped neck-hole. For this, in 21 cm = 54 rows from the beginning of the relief pattern, divide your work in half and increase 1 selvage st from inwards = 47 (56) sts in each half. In 30 cm = 78 rows from the beginning of the relief pattern (in the next 1st plum row), decrease 16 (18) sts for the chamfer = 31 (38) sts; then, bind off 6 (3) x 1 st in every 6th row from inwards and 0 (3) x 1 st in every 8th row. Bind off the rest 13 (18) sts of the shoulder at the same height as for the back.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 51 (59) sts with blue yarn along neck-hole chamfers and 48 (52) sts along the back neck-hole = 150 (170) sts. Make 1 circle row of purls, then bind off sts as knit sts. Cast on 94 sts for the placket along armholes with blue yarn, make 1 WS row of knit sts, then bind off all sts as knit sts. Make side seams.
