Note: Slip sts purlwise with yarn at front (right side) of work.

The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2.

1st row (RS): 1 knit st, * yarn to front, 3 slip sts, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

2nd row: purl;

3rd-6th rows: repeat 1st and 2nd rows x twice;

7th row: 1 knit st, * 3 knit sts, yarn to front, 3 slip sts*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;

8th row: purl;

9th-12th rows: repeat the 7th and 8th rows x twice.
