Knitting Instructions

The quantity of knit stitches is a multiple of 16 + 4 + 2 selvage stitches. Start and finish every row with selvage stitches.

Row Instructions

1^st Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left (leave 2 stitches on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 2 knit stitches, 2 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle), 7 purls, cross 4 knit stitches to the right (leave 2 stitches on the auxiliary needle behind work, 2 knit stitches, 2 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle), 1 yarn over, 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, cross 4 stitches to the left.

2^nd Row

Due to the pattern, yarn overs are treated as purls.

3^rd Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, purl 2 together, 3 purls, purl 2 together, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over, 1 knit stitch*; repeat from * to *.

5^th Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, purl 2 together, 1 purl, purl 2 together, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, 2 knit stitches, 1 yarn over, 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over, 2 knit stitches*; repeat from * to *, cross 4 knit stitches to the left.

7^th Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, purl 3 together, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, 7 knit stitches*; repeat from * to *.

9^th Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, 1 yarn over, 1 purl, 1 yarn over, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, 1 broaching, 3 knit stitches, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, cross 4 knit stitches to the left.

11^th Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, 1 yarn over, 3 purls, 1 yarn over, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, 1 broaching, 1 knit stitch, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, cross 4 knit stitches to the left.

13^th Row

* Cross 4 knit stitches to the left, 1 yarn over, 5 purls, 1 yarn over, cross 4 knit stitches to the right, knit 3 together*; cross 4 knit stitches to the left.

Repeating the Pattern

Repeat rows 1^st through 14^th.
