​Colorful Crochet Blocks Pattern

Special Stitch

Sdc (Spike double crochet) = work dc over ch sp by inserting hook into top of next row below. When doing so, encase the ch st within the dc.

The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 3 chain sts increase.

Work 1 row each in colors A, B and C throughout.

1st row: Dc in 4th ch from hook; dc in each of next 2 ch, *ch 3, sk 3 ch, dc into each of next 3 ch; rep from* to end, turn;

2nd row: *Ch 5, sk 3 sts, 1 Sdc over each of next 3 sts; rep from * to last 3 sts, ch 3, sk 3 sts, sc into top of tch, turn;

3rd row: Ch 3, 1 Sdc over each of next 3 sts, *ch 3, sk 3 sts, 1 Sdc over each of next 3 sts; rep from * to end, turn.

Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.

Finishing

After completing the 2nd row: Ch 3, 1 Sdc over each of the next 3 sts *sc in each of next 3 sts, 1 Sdc over each of next 3 sts; rep from * to end of row.
