You’ll Need:

700 (700) 800g of colorful mélange Pur yarn (100% sheep wool; 150m/100g);

Straight knitting needles 6;

Circular knitting needles 7.

Size

S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Rib

For ribbing, the quantity of stitches is even. Make * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch * between selvage stitches.

Rib, Circle Rows

For circular ribbing, the quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4. Make * 2 knit stitches, 2 purls *.

Relief Pattern

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 6 + 2 + 2 selvage stitches. Work according to the scheme, on which only right-side rows are stated; make wrong-side row stitches and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage stitch and stitches before the pattern repeat, then pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 selvage stitch. Repeat rows 1 to 12.

Stitches Control

15 stitches x 25.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 76 (82) 88 stitches and make 1 cm = 3 rows of rib, starting with 1 wrong-side row. Then, work with the relief pattern. At 36 cm = 92 rows (33.5 cm = 86 rows) 31 cm = 80 rows from rib, bind off 3 stitches from both sides for armholes and 1 x 2 stitches, 1 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row = 64 (70) 76 stitches. In 54 cm = 138 rows from rib, bind off the central 32 stitches for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 1 stitch from inwards in the next 2nd row. In 55.5 cm = 142 rows from rib, bind off the rest 15 (18) 21 stitches of shoulder from each side.

Front

Work in the same way, but for a deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 14 stitches in 49.5 cm = 126 rows from rib and 1 x 4 stitches, 2 x 2 stitches, and 2 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 34 (34) 40 stitches and make rib in the same way as for the back. Then, work with the relief pattern. At the same time, increase 11 x 1 stitches from both sides in every 8th row (12 x 1 stitch in every 6th row and 2 x 1 stitch in every 8th row) to create sleeve chamfers = 56 (62) 68 stitches; include the increased stitches in the pattern. In 37.5 cm = 96 rows from rib, bind off 4 stitches from both sides for the sleeve cap, and 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches, 9 x 1 stitch, 2 x 2 stitches, 1 x 4 stitches (1 x 3 stitches, 2 x 2 stitches, 7 x 1 stitch, 3 x 2 stitches, and 1 x 4 stitches) 1 x 3 stitches, 3 x 2 stitches, 5 x 1 stitch, 4 x 2 stitches, and 1 x 4 stitches in every 2nd row. In 49.5 cm = 126 rows from rib, bind off the rest 4 (6) 8 stitches.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 27 stitches along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make the collar in circular rows of rib. At 26 cm height of the collar, bind off all stitches as they face. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
