How to Crochet a Ginger Pullover with a Bow

You’ll need:

• 400g of “Bright Summer” yarn (95% mercerized cotton, 5% methanite; 380m/100g) in ginger color;
• Crochet hook size 2.

Instructions

Front

Make a chain of 45 cm long. Work in the following way:

11 double crochets, 3 shells due to the scheme, 10 double crochets, 3 shells, 11 double crochets.

Make 5 rows this way, then replace the pattern:

10 double crochets, 3 shells, 11 double crochets, 3 shells, 11 double crochets.

Make 6 rows this way, then replace the pattern:

9 double crochets, 3 shells, 12 double crochets, 3 shells, 12 double crochets, 3 shells, 9 double crochets.

Then, replace the pattern:

8 double crochets, 3 shells, 13 double crochets, 3 shells, 13 double crochets, 3 shells, 8 double crochets.

Make 15 rows this way. Then, bind off the stitches from both sides for arm-holes, making 3 double crochets with common top for arm-hole.

Crochet the next 3 rows straight. Then, form neck-hole in the following way: 1 double crochet, 3 shells, 1 double crochet for 9 cm straight. Cut the yarn. Make the second half in the same way.

Back

Make in the same way as the front, but with not so deep neck-hole. Crochet straight for 8 rows after making arm-holes, then, make 3 rows of:

* 1 double crochet, 3 shells, 1 double crochet* for each shoulder.

Sleeves

Make a chain of 30 cm long. Work according to the scheme with “shells” pattern for 5 rows, increasing 3 double crochets from both sides.

Crochet straight for 2 rows. Crochet straight for 6 rows, decreasing stitches from both sides by means of making 3 double crochets together.

Assembly

Make side and shoulder seams. Make sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves.

Belt

Make a chain of 80 cm long. Make 3 rows of double crochets above this chain. Make the base of the bow according to scheme 2.

For the center of the bow, make 6 chain stitches. Make 8 cm of single crochets above it. Connect the details for the bow and the belt.
