Crochet Jacket Pattern: Placket and Belt for S-M Size

You’ll Need

400g of orange 100% cotton yarn (300m/100g);

Crochet hook 2.5;

2 buttons.

Instructions

At first, make the placket, then the belt, and after that, the jacket; start your work with the neck-hole.

Placket

Make 16 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase. Then, work according to Scheme 1.

Belt

Make 26 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase, after that, work according to Scheme 2 for 87 cm.

Mark the central 21 double crochets along the left edge of the placket, join the yarn to the side edge with double crochets of the 35^th row, and work according to Scheme 3, making increases as needed. In 40 cm from the setup row, finish your work.

Assembly

Sew the loose left end of the placket to the edges of the front from both sides. Then, sew the belt to the lower edge (see pattern design). After that, sew the buttons. Fasten edges with the “shells” pattern (1 single crochet in the 1^st stitch, 5 double crochets in the 3^rd stitch).
