You’ll Need:

750g of camel wool color yarn (57% wool, 25% viscose, 18% alpaca; 120m/50g);

150g of the same yarn, but in dark-brown color;

50g of the same yarn, but in red color;

Crochet hook 5.5.

Size:

S-M.

Used Patterns

Main Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 5 + 2. Work according to the scheme.

Start with stitches before the pattern repeat, continue with the pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat. Make 1st-3rd rows once, then repeat 2nd-3rd rows.

Relief Pattern:

RS row: 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet, then work with double crochets. WS row: 2 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st relief double crochet, then make relief double crochets through the front loop (= 1 double crochet, insert the crochet hook from front to back around the double crochet of the previous row).

Pattern for Placket:

1st row, camel yarn: 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet, then work with double crochets;

2nd row, red yarn: 2 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st relief double crochet, then make relief double crochets through the front loop;

3rd row, camel yarn: as the 2nd row but make relief double crochets through the back loop (= 1 double crochet, insert the crochet hook from back to front around the double crochet of the previous row);

4th row, camel yarn: 1 extra chain stitch increase, single crochets, insert the crochet hook from front around the double crochet of the previous row.

Stitches Control:

Main pattern: 13 stitches x 10.5 rows = 10 x 20 cm;

Relief pattern: 15 stitches x 8.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back:

Make 67 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase with camel yarn and work with the main pattern. In 126 cm = 66 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Front:

Make in the same way as the back.

Sleeves:

Make 42 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase with camel yarn for each sleeve and work with the relief pattern. In 16.5 cm = 14 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 stitch from both sides for sleeve chamfer, then, 7 x 1 stitch in every 4th row = 58 stitches. In 51.5 cm = 44 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly:

Fasten the side edges of front and back with 4 rows of pattern for the placket. Sew upper edges of front and back in the following way: leave the central 30 cm open for the neck-hole, sew 14 cm from both sides for shoulder seams, leave 19.5 cm open for arm-holes and make the rest areas of seams from both sides (= side seams). Make sleeve seams, and sew them up.
