Relief Pattern

The quantity of sts is multiple 14 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st.

Stockinette Stitch

In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Stitches Control:

Relief Pattern

22.5 sts x 27.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette Stitch

22.5 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 101 (115) 129 sts and work with relief pattern. In 67 cm = 184 rows from the set-up row (= after the 2^nd row of the scheme), continue work with stockinette stitch, decrease 4 (9) 14 sts in the 1^st row = 97 (106) 115 sts. In 5.5 cm = 18 rows from patterns change, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 81 (90) 99 sts. In 20.5 cm = 66 rows (22.5 cm = 72 rows) 24.5 cm = 78 rows from patterns change, bind off the central 35 (36) 37 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 5 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 22.5 cm = 72 rows (24.5 cm = 78 rows) 26.5 cm = 84 rows from patterns change, bind off the rest 13 (17) 21 sts of shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 25 (26) 27 sts in 14 cm = 46 rows (16 cm = 52 rows) 18 cm = 58 rows from patterns change, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 6 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 65 (74) 83 sts and work with stockinette stitch. In 2 cm = 6 rows, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then, bind off 18 x 1 st and 1 x 2 sts (2 x 2 sts, 15 x 1 st and 2 x 2 sts) 3 x 2 sts, 12 x 1 st, 4 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row. In 14.5 cm = 46 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 (22) 25 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For placket, cast on 114 (116) 118 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and make 4 circle rows of purls. Then, bind off all sts as purls. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
