Instructions
Back
Cast on 126 (134) 146 sts and make 2 cm of rib for placket, then work with the relief pattern, increasing 0 (2) 0 sts in the 1st row = 126 (136) 146 sts. In 48 (50) 52 cm from the placket, make purl2tog inside the pattern for yoke = 114 (123) 132 sts. In 53 (55) 57 cm from the placket, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for arm-hole and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 3 (2) 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 86 (97) 108 sts. In 18 (19) 20 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off the central 36 (37) 36 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 2 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, bind off the rest 20 (25) 31 sts of the shoulder.
Front
Make in the same way as back, but with a V-shaped neck-hole. To achieve this, bind off the central 2 (3) 2 sts at the beginning of the arm-hole and finish each side separately. For the chamfer, make special decreases 14 times in every 2nd row and 8 times in every 4th row from both sides of the neck-hole. Bind off the remaining sts of the shoulder at the height of the back.
Sleeves
Cast on 86 (86) 94 sts and make 2 cm of rib for placket, then work with the relief pattern, increasing 0 (0) 2 sts in the 1st row = 86 (86) 96 sts. In 16 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts for sleeve cap and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row; then, 5 x 1 st in every 4th row, and again 3 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row. In 14 cm = 44 rows from the beginning of the sleeve cap, bind off the remaining 32 (32) 42 sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Cast on 131 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with rib for placket to get 2 knit sts, 1 central knit st, and 2 knit sts in the center of the front. Slip the central st together with the previous st in every 2nd row, 1 knit st, and draw it through both slipped sts. Bind off all the sts as they face in 2 cm. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
