Crochet Sweater Pattern

You’ll Need:

325 (350) 375g of grey Ondario yarn (42% merino wool, 40% polyamide, 18% wool; 112m/25g);

125 (150) 175g of the same yarn, but in coral color;

Crochet hook 4.5.

Size: S (M) L/XL.

Used Patterns

Wavy Pattern

The quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 1. Work according to the scheme. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Pattern for Placket

Work with half crochets, inserting the crochet hook only through the back loop. Start every row with 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1^st half crochet and finish with 1 half crochet in the 2^nd chain st increase of the previous row.

Stitches Control

Wavy Pattern: 17 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern for Placket: 16.5 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 81 (97) 113 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 63 cm = 82 rows from the set-up row, leave the central 35 sts open for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, decrease 3 x 1 st in every row from inwards. In 65.5 cm = 85 rows from the set-up row, finish your work on the rest 20 (28) 36 sts of shoulder.

Left Front

Make 33 (41) 49 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern, starting with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat x 1 (2) 2 times, finish with 9 (1) 9 sts after pattern repeat. In 57 cm = 74 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 12 sts and decrease 1 x 1 st in the next 2^nd row. Finish your work on the rest 20 (28) 36 sts of shoulder at the height of the back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Make 33 (49) 65 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the wavy pattern. Increase 2 x 1 st in every 6^th row from the set-up row for chamfers, then, bind off 10 x 1 st in every 4^th row due to the pattern = 57 (73) 89 sts. In 42.5 cm = 55 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Fasten the edges of the front with 94 single crochets with grey yarn and make 5 cm with the pattern for the placket. Make shoulder seams. Fasten the neck-hole and half of the short sides of the front plackets with 117 single crochets with grey yarn, making 10 cm with the pattern for the placket for the collar on these sts. Sew sleeves to the upper 16.5 (21.5) 26 cm of side edges of the front and back. The middle of the sleeve is near the shoulder seam. Make side and sleeve seams.
