Knitting needles 3.
Garter stitch: knit;
Relief pattern: 1st (RS): 1 selvage st, * yarn over, broaching*; repeat from * to *;
2nd row: purl;
3rd row: as the 1st row, but in checkerwise.
Repeat 2nd-3rd rows.
2 x 5 rib/ 2 x 2: 2 x 2 purls and 5 x 2 knit sts;
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.
Cast on 95 sts and make 7 rows of garter stitch. Then, make 10 rows with relief pattern. Then, make 2 x 5 rib. At 47 cm height from the beginning of work, make 12,5 cm with 2 x 2 rib. Then, work with 2 x 5 rib (there should be a stripe of purls in the center of the detail). At 66 cm height from the set-up row, make 4 cm with wrong-side pattern. Then, don’t bind off the sts, fold wrong-side pattern in half, knit sts should be on RS and sew with kitchener’s stitch through open sts.
Make in the same way, as back to 68 cm height. Then, divide your work in half and then, make every side separately. Make decreases from both sides in the following way: 1 selvage st, 5 sts of stockinette stitch, broaching, continue due to the pattern, knit2tog, 5 knit sts, 1 selvage st. Make such decreases in every 2nd row until the side stripes are connected. Then, make 4 decrease and make 15 cm of strap on the rest 10 sts, don’t bind off the sts. Finish the second part of bra in symmetry, then, connect the sts of both straps and knit them together and bind off at the same time.
Make side seams, insert shirr in the fold.
