How to Crochet a Beautiful Top with a Skirt

You’ll Need:

500 (550) 600g of tender green yarn (100% cotton; 135m/50g).

Crochet hook 3.5.

1.5 m of satin lace in green color 20 mm wide.

Used Patterns

Double Crochet with Loop for Attaching:

4 chain sts, yarn over, insert the crochet hook in the 1st chain st and draw st, yarn over with the help of drawn st, 1 double crochet. For every new double crochet, make yarn over and insert crochet hook in attaching loop of the previous double crochet with attaching loop.

Relief Pattern:

Work according to the scheme in straight and reversed directions. Make 3 chain sts to increase instead of the 1st double crochet in every row. Make double crochet with attaching loop instead of set-up chain. Make 2 elements before the 1st arrow wide, then repeat 3 elements between arrows and finish with 2 elements after the 2nd arrow. Make 1st-4th rows once, then repeat 3rd-4th rows.

Fans Pattern:

Work with circle rows according to the scheme. Make 3 chain sts to increase instead of the 1st double crochet in every row and finish the row with a slip st in the 3rd chain st increase. In some cases, turn to the new row with the help of a slip st (see the beginning of the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th rows). Finish 3rd, 7th, 9th with 1 chain st and 1 double crochet in the upper st increase (see crochet with arrow on the scheme) instead of the last 4 chain sts of the row. Repeat the pattern between arrows. Make 1st-9th rows once, then repeat 6th-9th rows. Finish the skirt with the 10th row (make this row only once!).

 

Instructions

Back:

Make 97 (106) 115 double crochets with attaching loop. Then, starting from the 2nd row, work with relief pattern, making 31 (34) 37 pattern repeats in every row. At 15 cm = 14 rows from the lower edge, leave 9 sts open from both sides for arm-holes, then bind off 2 x 3 sts in every 2nd row = 67 (76) 85 sts. At 11 (12) 13 cm = 10 (11) 12 rows height from the beginning of arm-holes, leave the central 41 (44) 47 sts open for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. Work on 13 (16) 19 cm of shoulder for 8 cm = 7 rows more from the beginning of neck-hole from both sides, then finish your work.

 

Front:

Make in the same way as the back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 41 (44) 47 sts at 19 (20) 21 cm height = 17 (18) 19 rows and finish both sides separately.

 

Sleeves:

Make 61 (67) 76 double crochets with attaching loop. Then, starting from the 2nd row, work with the relief pattern, making 19 (21) 24 pattern repeats in every row. At 33 cm = 30 rows from the beginning of work, leave 9 sts open for sleeve caps from both sides, then bind off 5 (4) 3 x 2 sts at the end of every 5th row and 6 (8) 10 x 3 sts = 13 (17) 22 sts. At 14 (15) 16 cm = 13 (14) 15 rows from the beginning of the sleeve, finish your work. Make the second sleeve in the same way.

 

Assembly:

Make shoulder, side, and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves. Fasten the neck-hole with 2 circle rows of single crochets, skipping sts in the corners.

 

Skirt:

Work according to the scheme from the edge of the bra with fans pattern (this element is marked with grey on the scheme = the 1st row of the bra). Make 24 (26) 28 pattern repeats on 192 (208) 224 sts in the 1st row of the skirt. In 70 cm (1st-9th rows are made once, 6th-9th rows are made 10 times, 10th row is made once), finish your work. Draw lace through sts of front and back, as it’s shown in the photo.
