Instructions
Back:
Cast on 110 (122) sts with knitting needles 3.5 and make 2 cm of rib between selvage sts. Then, switch to knitting needles 4 and make 38 cm = 118 rows with chess-board pattern. For M size, start with sts from arrow C, pattern repeat, and finish with sts before arrow C and 1 selvage st. Decrease 18 sts in the last WS row of the pattern = 92 (104) sts. Then, create a rib for the waist placket. At 5 cm height of the waist placket = 16 rows, start working with stockinette stitch. In 10.5 cm = 32 rows (8 cm = 24 rows) from the waist placket, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 70 (82) sts. In 28 cm = 84 rows from the waist placket, bind off the central 16 (20) sts and finish both sides separately. For a smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 8 sts and 1 x 5 sts from both sides in every 2nd row. In 30 cm = 90 rows from the waist placket, bind off the rest 14 (18) sts of shoulder from each side.
Front:
Make in the same way as the back, but for size S, make pattern, starting with 1 selvage st and sts from arrow A, pattern repeat, and finish with 1 selvage st. For a deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 8 (12) sts in 14 cm = 42 rows from waist placket and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row and 8 x 1 st in every 4th row.
Sleeves:
Cast on 52 (62) sts with knitting needles 3.5 and make 2 cm of rib between selvage sts. Then, switch to knitting needles 4 and work with the chess-board pattern. For size M, finish with sts before arrow B and 1 selvage st. In 21 cm = 66 rows from the rib, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 14 x 1 st in every 4th and 6th rows = 82 (92) sts, including the increased sts in the pattern. In 46 cm = 142 rows from the rib, bind off 5 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 1 x 3 sts, 4 x 2 sts, 4 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts, 2 x 3 sts, 1 x 4 sts (1 x 3 sts, 11 x 2 sts, 2 x 3 sts, 1 x 4 sts) in every 2nd row. In 56 cm = 174 rows from the rib, bind off the rest 10 (12) sts.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams. Cast on 132 (140) sts with circular knitting needles and create a placket with rib. At 2 cm height, bind off all the sts according to the pattern. Sew up the sleeves, and make side and sleeve seams.
