Knitting Instructions for a Mustard Color Skirt with V-Shape Neck-Hole

You’ll Need:

400 (450) 500g of mustard color yarn (75% cotton, 25% linen; 98m/50g);

Circular knitting needles 4 and 4.5;

Crochet hook 4.

Used Patterns

• Garter stitch, circle rows: * 1 circle row of knit sts, 1 circle row of purls*.
• Straight and reversed rows: knit sts.
• Leaves pattern, circle rows: the quantity of sts is multiple of 18.
  Work due to the scheme, on which both even and odd rows are stated, repeat the pattern. Make 1^st-19^th circle rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-19^th circle rows.
• Marked decrease: from the right side: 3 sts of garter stitch, broaching; from the left side: knit to the last 5 sts of the row, knit2tog, 3 sts with leaves pattern. Make decreases as knit sts in WS rows.

Stitches Control:

• Leaves pattern: 23.5 sts x 23.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
• Garter stitch: 19.5 sts x 30.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Skirt

Cast on 228 (244) 260 sts with knitting needles 4, circle in the ring and make 1 circle row of purls. Then, for the lower placket, knit 6.5 cm = 20 circle rows of garter stitch. Continue work with leaves pattern with knitting needles 4.5, increase 24 (26) 28 sts in the 1^st circle row = 252 (270) 288 sts or 14 (15) 16 pattern repeats. In 34.5 cm = 81 rows from lower placket, decrease 2 sts in the next circle row in every pattern repeat. For this, don’t make yarn overs, but make decreases = 224 (240) 256 sts. Decrease 2 sts in every pattern repeat in the next 2^nd circle row. For this, don’t make yarn overs = 196 (210) 224 sts. In 36 cm = 85 circle rows from lower placket, bind off sts as knit sts. Make 1 circle row of single crochets in bind-off edge, making 73 (81) 89 single crochets for front and back.

Back

Cast on 73 (81) 89 single crochets of skirt and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Continue work with garter stitch in straight and reversed rows. In 12.5 cm = 38 rows from set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, make marked decreases 10 (12) 14 x 1 st in every 4^th row = 47 (51) 55 sts. In 26.5 cm = 80 rows (29 cm = 88 rows) 31.5 cm = 96 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 23 (27) 27 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 29 cm = 88 rows (31.5 cm = 96 rows) 34 cm = 104 rows from set-up row, bind off the rest 8 (8) 10 sts of straps.

Front

Work in the last 73 (81) 89 single crochets of skirt, but with V-shape neck-hole. For this, in 6.5 cm = 20 rows (6.5 cm = 20 rows) 9 cm = 28 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 5 sts and finish both sides separately. For chamfer, make marked decrease of 13 (15) 15 x 1 st in every 4^th row from inwards.
