Instructions for Making a Custom Pillowcase

You’ll Need:

Fabric for pillow case (it’s better to take fleece or felt);

Scissors;

Pins;

Sewing machine;

Threads;

Needle.

Step 1: Preparing the Pattern

1. Measure the pillow and make a pattern design. You need 2 main details of the pillowcase (add 1-3 cm to the loose cushion for the pillow parameters) and several long strips for shuttlecocks. Lay out a detail of the shuttlecock on one of the main parts of the pillowcase, as shown in the photo. Having decided on the width and number of folds, lay out all the details of the shuttlecocks on the main part and pin it with pins.

Step 2: Sewing the Pillowcase

2. Stitch each shuttlecock to the pillowcase detail. Lay 1 line in the middle along each shuttlecock. Now fold the two main parts of the pillowcase with the sides facing inward and sew along the perimeter, leaving a hole sufficient to fit the pillow inside. Turn out the pillowcase, put it on the pillow, sew the hole manually with a hidden seam.
