Eyes

Make 2. With white yarn, ch 2, 8 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join with a slst, tie off leaving an 8-inch tail of yarn for sewing in place. Pupil is made by stitching a French knot with brown yarn. Place on the top of the snood and sew in place.

Beak

With gold yarn, ch 2, 2 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1 turn (2sc). 2 sc in each sc, ch1, turn (4sc). 1 sc in each sc (4sc). Turn down the 1st side and evenly crochet to the point of the beak, 2 sc in the point, sc up the other side, join to the 1st sc and tie off. Leave a 10-inch piece of yarn for sewing in place.
