UK Instructions

Worked in rounds without turning.

With colour 1, make a magic circle, work 3ch, (1tr, 1ch, 2tr) into ring, * (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into ring, * rpt from * to * a further 4 times more, ss to top of 3ch on the beginning of the round. (23tr, six 1ch spaces + 3ch)

2nd Round

ss to first 1ch space, make 3ch, work (1tr, 1ch, 2tr) into the same 1ch space, * miss 2tr, work 1tr between next 2tr, miss 2tr, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next 1ch space * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tr, work 1tr between 2tr and 3ch, ss to top of 3ch on the beginning of the round.

Border Round

With WS facing, join colour 2 at the base of peak on the left-hand side of cap, work 1dc into each tr and 1ch space to base of peak on right-hand side, 1dc into each of 8 row ends up the first side of the peak, 1dc into each of the 7dc along the top of the peak, 1dc into each of the 8 row ends down the second side of the peak, ss to first dc on the beginning of the round.
