Crochet a Stylish Green Wrap with Buttons

You’ll Need:

11 skeins of green yarn (83% alpaca wool, 17% nylon; 125m/25g);

Crochet hook size 5;

8 buttons with an 18 mm diameter.

Size:

70 cm wide (along upper edge) and 90 cm (along lower edge) x 42 cm long.

Stitches Control:

4.5 pattern repeats x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Note:

Work in 2 threads of yarn.

Instructions:

Make 125 chain stitches and create a magic ring.

Row Instructions:

1^st Row (WS): Turn with the help of the 1^st chain stitch increase and make 1 single crochet in every chain stitch = 125 single crochets;

2^nd Row: Turn with the help of 2 chain stitches increase and make 1 half crochet in the 1^st stitch, * 1 chain stitch, skip 1 stitch, 1 half crochet in the next stitch *; repeat from * to *, 1 half crochet in the last stitch;

3^rd Row: Turn with the help of the 1^st chain stitch increase and make 1 single crochet in every stitch. Note: Increase 4 stitches in this row, make 2 single crochets behind chain stitches x 4 times;

4^th Row: Start with 5 chain stitches, make 3 unfinished triple crochets back in the stitch before 5 chain stitches = now, there are 4 stitches on the crochet hook, draw the yarn through all 4 stitches, * 3 chain stitches, skip 3 stitches and make 6 triple crochets in the next stitch, draw the yarn through all stitches on the crochet hook *; repeat from * to *, 3 chain stitches, skip 3 stitches, 4 triple crochets in the last stitch;

5^th Row: Turn with the help of 1 chain stitch increase and make 1 single crochet in the top of triple crochets together, * 3 single crochets behind 3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in top of triple crochets together *; repeat from * to *.

Repeat from the 2^nd row.

When the length of the wrap is about 40 cm, finish your work with the 3^rd row.

Left Front:

Make 1 row of single crochets along the front left edge with crochet hook size 5 = 1 single crochet in every row, make 3 single crochets behind every 4^th row. Turn with the help of 1 chain stitch increase and make 1 single crochet in every stitch in reversed order, turn with the help of 1 chain stitch and make 1 single crochet in every stitch.

Right Front:

Make in the same way as the left front, but make hanging loops in the last row: make 3 chain stitches instead of 2 single crochets = 8 button-loops.

Sew on buttons.
