Understanding the Stitch Quantity

The quantity of stitches (sts) is a multiple of 9 + 8 + chain stitch increase.

Row Instructions

1st Row

3 chain stitches increase, 1 double crochet in the next 2 chain stitches, *skip 3 chain stitches, 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the next 6 chain stitches*; repeat from * to *, skip 3 chain stitches, 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the last 3 chain stitches;

2nd Row

3 chain stitches increase, *5 double crochets in the next arch of chain stitches, 1 chain stitch and 5 double crochets*; repeat from * to *, 1 double crochet in chain stitch increase of the previous row;

3rd Row

3 chain stitches increase, skip 3 double crochets, *1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochets, 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochets, skip 4 double crochets*; repeat from * to *, 1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochets, 5 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the next 3 double crochets, 1 double crochet in chain stitch increase of the previous row.

Repeating Rows

Repeat the 2nd and 3rd rows, making every row with a different color yarn.
