How to Crochet with 100% Alpaca Wool

You’ll Need:
5 skeins of white yarn (100% Alpaca wool; 167m/50g);
Crochet hook 3.5.
Size:
50 cm wide and 110 cm in perimeter.
Note:
The quantity of stitches is multiple 6 + 2 stitches.
Instructions:
Make 182 chain stitches and crochet around;
1st row: 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the crochet hook,* skip 2 chain stitches, 5 double crochets in the next chain stitch (= shell), skip 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet*; repeat from * to *, 1 single crochet in the last chain stitch (= totally, 30 shells).
Circle the row with a slip stitch in the 1st stitch;2nd row: 3 chain stitches increase, 2 double crochets in the 1st stitch, * 1 single crochet in the center of 5 double crochets of shells, 5 double crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 single crochet in the center of the last shell, 2 double crochets in the 1st stitch of the previous row, 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch;
3rd row: 1 single crochet in the 1st stitch (= middle of shell), * 5 double crochets in the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the middle of the next shell*; repeat from * to *, finish with 5 double crochets in the single crochet, finish the row with 1 slip stitch;
4th-50th rows: repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.
Cut the yarn. Fasten the edges with trefoils: 1 single crochet, 6 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from the crochet hook, 3 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch in the same stitch, * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet, 3 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch* in the same stitch; repeat from * to * once, then make 3 chain stitches, skip 4 stitches. Repeat the pattern around. Fasten the second edge in the same way.
