​Light Wavy Dress

You’ll need:

300 (400) 400 g of white Sol yarn (100% cotton; 200m/100g);

200 (200) 300 g of the same yarn, but in grey yarn;

Straight knitting needles 7;

Circular knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Wavy pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 17 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Repeat the pattern from the 1^st to the 4^th rows between selvage sts.

Stripes order: 2 rows of white stripes, 2 rows of grey stripes.

Stitches control: 19,5 sts x 23,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 138 (155) 172 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. This row isn’t taken into account. Then, work with wavy pattern in the stated order for skirt part. In 30 cm = 70 rows from the set-up row, bind off 14 sts from both sides and 5 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row = 70 (87) 104 sts. In 34 cm = 80 rows from the set-up row, make the upper part with wavy pattern with white yarn.

At 32,5 cm = 76 rows (29 cm = 68 rows) 25,5 cm = 60 rows, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 54 (71) 88 sts. At 47,5 cm = 112 rows, bind off the central 14 (19) 24 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 3 sts and 2 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. At 52 cm height = 122 rows, bind off the rest 10 (16) 22 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 8 (13) 18 sts at 30,5 cm = 72 rows height and 1 x 2 sts and 11 x 1 st in every 4^th row.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams, make the seams upon bound off sts in the skirt part, sides are open. Cast on 124 (134) 144 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles with white yarn, make 1 WS circle row and bind off all the sts as knit sts. Cast on 82 (90) 98 sts with circular knitting needles along the arm-holes and knit in the same way.
