You’ll need:

10; 11; 12 skeinf of grey yarn (68% Alpaca, 10% sheep wool, 22% synthetics; 110m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 6;

Circle knitting needles 5 (60 cm long).


Size: S/М (М/L) L/ХL

Chest circumference: 96 (106) 116 cm;

Length: 66 (67) 68 cm.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib;

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS rows – purls, in WS rows – knit sts;

Increase 1 st: make 1 yarn over, twist yarn over in the next row and knit through back loops;

Leaves pattern: due to the scheme;

Purl2tog with left decline: transfer 2 sts to the right-hand needle, then twist it, return to the left-hand needle and purl2tog through back loops.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch with knitting needles 6: 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 77 (85) 93 sts with knitting needles 6 and start work with Ws row of rib. In 5 (6) 7 cm of rib, finish with RS row. Continue work on the central 57 sts with the pattern due to the scheme, make the rest sts from both sides in WS rows as knit sts, in RS rows – as purls. When the length of the detail is 44 cm, bind off the sts for arm-holes. For this, place marker in the center of the detail and bind off по 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 (3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1) 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1 sts in the beginning of every row from both sides = 59 (63) 67 sts on the knitting needles. When the height of arm-hole is about 20 (21) 22 cm, bind off 22 (24) 26 sts. Then, finish both parts separately. For neck-hole, bind off 3, 2 sts in the beginning of the next 2 rows from inwards, and bind off 5, 6, 6 (6, 6, 7) 7, 7, 7 sts in the beginning of every row for shoulder chamfers.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. When there are 10 cm left to the end of the detail, count 33 (350 37 sts due to the marker. Bind off the central sts between markers. Then, finish both parts separately. For neck-hole, bind off 3, 2 sts, then 1 st in the beginning of every row from inwards until there are 17 (19) 21 sts left. Bind off the sts of shoulder in the same way, as for back.

Sleeves

Cast on 41 (45) 49 sts with knitting needles 6 and start with WS of rib. In 5 (6) 7 cm of rib, finish with RS row. Continue work on the central 27 sts with the pattern due to the scheme, the rest sts in WS row – knit sts, in RS row – purls (from both sides).

Assembly

Sew the details from right side with mattress stitch and Kitchener stitch. Make side and sleeve seams.

Sew the sleeves.
