You'll Need:

200g of yarn;

Knitting needles 4, 5, and 6.

Size:

70cm x 138cm.

Used Patterns:

  • 1 x 1 rib;
  • Garter stitch: in right-side rows - all knit sts, in wrong-side rows - all purls;
  • "Leaves" pattern: due to the scheme.

Stitches Control:

12 sts x 16 rows = 10cm x 10cm.

Instructions:

Cast on 1 st with knitting needles 6 and make the pattern according to the scheme, increasing the quantity of sts. Cast on 3 sts when you start the new part of the motif. Then, continue working according to the ornament of the scheme.

The example of such increase is in the 10th and 11th rows. After making 11 motifs of the ornament in width, bind off the sts.

Assembly:

Lift 150 sts from each side of the brim with knitting needles 4.5. Make 1 row with rib. Increase the quantity of sts in the next row, knit2tog. You should get 225 sts.

Continue with 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Turn to knitting needles 5. You should make 1 row of stockinette stitch with these knitting needles. Continue with the "leaves" pattern from the 21st to 30th rows of the scheme, which is 15 pattern repeats.

Pay attention that you should turn to knitting needles 6 from the 6th row. Bind off the sts according to the ornament after the 30th row. Sew the sides of the brim.
