Knitting a Stylish Mitten with Grey and Black Wool

You’ll Need:
150g of 100% wool yarn of grey color (201m/100g);
50g of the same yarn, but black color;
Double-pointed knitting needles 4.5;
Straight knitting needles 4.5;
Marker;
Pin;
6 black buttons.
Length:
16.5 cm.
Used Patterns:
Decrease with Left Decline:
Slip 2 sts without knitting, knit them from left to right as knit2tog through front loop;
Double Decrease:
Slip 1 knit st, knit2tog, throw slipped st on the knit st;
Increase with Left Decline:
Lift 1 st from broaching, knit it through lower loop;
Increase with Right Decline:
Lift 1 st from broaching, knit it through upper loop.
Instructions:
Cast on 123 sts with knitting needles 4.5 and black yarn:
1st row: 3 purls, * 9 knit sts, 3 purls*; repeat from * to * to end of row;
2nd row: 3 knit sts, * 9 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;
3rd row: 3 purls, * decrease with left decline, 5 knit sts, knit2tog, 3 purls*; repeat from * to * to end of row, totally, 103 sts;
4th row: 3 knit sts, * 7 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;
5th row: 3 purls, * decrease with left decline, 3 knit sts, knit2tog, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *, totally, 83 sts;
6th row: 3 knit sts, * 5 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;
7th row: 3 purls, * decrease with left decline, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *, totally, 63 sts;
8th row: 3 knit sts, * 3 purls, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * to end of row;
9th row: 3 purls, * double decrease, 3 purls*; repeat from * to *, totally, 43 sts.
Continue with 2 rows of purls and black yarn. At the same time, decrease 1 st, there are 42 sts left.
Change the color of yarn to grey and make button-holes:
1st row: 21 knit sts, marker, knit st;
2nd row: purls;
Right Arm:
3rd row: 2 knit sts, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, knit sts to the last 4 sts from marker, decrease with left decline, 2 knit sts, marker, 2 knit sts, knit2tog, knit sts. Totally, 40 sts.
Left Arm:
3rd row: knit sts to the last 4 sts from marker, decrease with left decline, 2 knit sts, marker, 2 knit sts, knit2tog, knit sts to the last 4 sts, decrease with left decline, 1 yarn over, 2 knit sts. Totally, 40 sts;
4th-10th rows: stockinette stitch;
11th row: as 3rd row. Totally, 38 sts;
13th-18th rows: stockinette stitch;
19th row: as 3rd row. Totally, 36 sts. Take off the marker;
20th-24th rows: stockinette stitch.
Turn to double-pointed knitting needles, divide the sts: 1st needle – 4 sts, 2nd needle – 14 sts, 3rd needle – 14 sts, 4th needle – 4 sts.
Right Arm:
Transfer the 4th needle behind the 1st needle make (1 st from 1st needle and 1st from right needle) x 4 times, knit sts along the 2nd and 3rd needles, then 2 sts from the 1st and 4th needles, place marker. Totally, 32 sts.
Left Arm:
Transfer the 1st needle behind the 4th needle, make (1 st from 1st needle and 1st from right needle) x 4 times, knit sts along the 2nd and 3rd needles, then 2 sts from the 1st and 4th needles, place marker. Totally, 32 sts.
Transfer all the sts to 4 knitting needles.
Continue: 1 knit st, increase with left decline, 14 knit sts, marker, increase with right decline, 2 knit sts, decrease with left decline, marker, 14 knit sts, decrease with left decline, 1 knit st. Totally, 36 sts.
Then, 3 rows of stockinette stitch.
Next row: knit sts to the first marker, marker, increase with right decline, knit sts to marker, increase with right decline, marker knit sts. Totally, 38 sts.
Then, 3 rows of stockinette stitch.
Repeat the last 4 rows x 3 times. Totally, 44 sts.
Next row: knit sts to the marker, take off marker, transfer 12 sts to the pin, take off marker, knit sts. Totally, 32 sts.
Then, stockinette stitch to the needed length (about 8 rows). Change to black yarn and make 1 row of purls.
Bind off all the sts.
Thumb:
Transfer 12 sts from the pin and place them on the 3 knitting needles and make 3 rows with knit sts. Change to black yarn. Make 1 row of purls. Bind off the sts. Make the second mitten in reflection.
Assembly:
Sew the buttons.
