Knitting Floral Patterns with Two Colors of Yarn



Introduction
The quantity of stitches is multiplied 14 + 2 selvedge stitches. Right-side – odd rows, wrong-side – even rows.
Two colors of yarn are marked as A (red) and B (white).
Row Instructions
First Rows
1st row (A): 1 selvedge stitch, knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
2nd row (B): 1 selvedge stitch, knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
3rd-5th rows (B): 1 selvedge stitch, knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
Flower Technique Rows
6th row (A): 1 selvedge stitch, 9 knit stitches, make flower: 3 stitches from the needle, go 4 rows down, (insert knitting needle and make a stitch, 1 knit stitch) x 6 times, 9 knit stitches, make a flower, 1 knit stitch, 1 selvedge stitch;
7th row (A): 1 selvedge stitch, all stitches of flowers as knit two together (= 1 stitch of the row + 1 slipped stitch) in 1 purl, 8 knit stitches, all stitches of flowers as knit two together (= 1 stitch of the row + 1 slipped stitch) in 1 purl, 8 knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
Continued Rows
8th -11th rows (B): 1 selvedge stitch, knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
12th row (A): 1 selvedge stitch, all stitches of flowers as knit two together (= 1 stitch of the row + 1 slipped stitch) in 1 purl, 9 knit stitches, all stitches of flowers as knit two together (= 1 stitch of the row + 1 slipped stitch) in 1 purl, 9 knit stitches, 1 selvedge stitch;
13th row (A): 1 selvedge stitch, 8 knit stitches, knit six together, 1 slipped purl, 8 knit stitches, knit six together, 1 slipped purl, 1 selvedge stitch.
