How to Make a Crochet Poncho

You’ll Need:

300g of 100% mélange acryl yarn;

100g of white yarn;

Satin lace 2 cm wide – 4 m;

Crochet hook 3.5.

Size:

80 x 80 cm.

Relief Puff Stitch:

Catch the yarn, insert the crochet hook, outline the next stitch along the right side to the wrong side, catch the yarn and pull the stitch; repeat from * to * 4 times, insert the crochet hook in the same stitch.

Popcorn:

Make 5 double crochets from 1 stitch. Slip the working stitch from the crochet hook and insert it along the right side under the top of the 1^st double crochet. Lift the slipped stitch and crochet it.

Stitches Control:

29 stitches = 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 233 chain stitches with mélange yarn and work according to the scheme. At 80 cm height, finish your work.

Fastening

With white yarn:

1^st Row:

Single crochets, in the corners – 3 single crochets from 1 stitch;

2^nd Row:

5 chain stitches increase, triple crochet, * 2 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches of the previous row, 2 triple crochets*; repeat from * to *. In the corners of each of 3 single crochets of the previous row – 2 chain stitches, 3 triple crochets;

3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, 6^th Rows:

Work according to the scheme of lacy fringe.
