J. & P. Coats Crochet Cord, 1 ball each of color 70 Blue Jewel and color 9 Yellow. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 2.
Instructions
Use thread double throughout. With 2 strands of Blue Jewel, ch 7. Join with sl st to form ring.
Round 1
Make 16 s c in ring.
Round 2
* Ch 2, s c in each of next 2 s c, repeat from * 7 more times (8 eyelet divisions and 8 s c sections).
Round 3
Ch 2, skip ch-2 and 1st s c of next s c section, 2 s c in next s c, 1 s c in next ch-2, * ch 2, skip 1st s c of next s c section, 2 s c in next s c, 1 s c in next ch-2, repeat from * 6 more times, ending rnd with s c in beginning ch-2.
Round 4
* Ch 2, skip 1st s c of next s c section, 1 s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, 1 s c in next ch-2, repeat from * around.
Round 5
Attach Yellow, * ch 2, skip 1st s c of next s c section, s c in each of next 2 s c, 2 s c in next s c, 1 s c in next ch-2, repeat from * around.
Rounds 6 and 7
Work thus, increasing 1 s c in each s c section for every rnd. When the 7th rnd is completed, break thread.
Rounds 8 to 13
