Materials Needed
I used 3 balls of the same color of worsted weight cotton yarn, P hook.
Directions
The hot pad is worked holding all 3 strands of yarn together:
- Chain 5 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 1
- Chain 3, work 9 double crochet into the ring just formed, join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3.
Round 2
- Chain 3, 2 double crochet in the same stitch, chain 2, 2 double crochet in the next stitch, chain 2.
- *3 double crochet in the next stitch, chain 2, 2 double crochet in the next stitch, chain 2* repeat from *to* 4 more times, join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3.
Round 3
- Chain 3, double crochet in the next 2 stitches, *double crochet in the next chain 2 space on the previous round, double crochet in the next 2 stitches, work 2 double crochet, chain 1, 2 double crochet in the next chain 2 space on the previous round, double crochet in the next 3 stitches* repeat from *to* ending with 2 double crochet, chain 1, 2 double crochet in the last chain 2 space, join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 and fasten off.
