Worsted Weight Yarn : For each Cover:

Baby Green – 1oz, 50yds (28g, 45m)

Super Bulky Weight Yarn :

White Macra-Made – 24" long (for drawstring).

CC - contrasting color

ch - chain

dc - double crochet

hdc - half double crochet

lp(s) - loop(s)

MC - main color

rem - remaining

rep - repeat

rnd - round

sc - single crochet(s)

sp(s) - space(s)

slst(s) - slip stitch(es)

st(s) - stitch(es)

tr - treble crochet

yo - yarn over

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

One pint Mason or Ball jar.

Crochet Hook:

Size I-9 (5.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:

Rnds 1-2 = 3".

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

JAR COVER

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at base, ch4, slst in first ch to form ring; ch1, 12dc in ring; join with slst to first dc. (12dc)

Rnd 2: Ch1, [2dc in next dc] around; join as before. (24dc)

Rnd 3: Ch4 (counts as first dc and ch-1, now and throughout), skip next dc, [dc in next dc, ch1, skip next dc] around; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-3). (12dc & 12ch-1sps)

Pattern Rounds

Rnd 4: Ch4 (counts as first tr), turn, sc in first ch-1sp, [tr in next dc, sc in next ch-1sp] around; join with slst to first tr (4th ch of ch-4). (12tr & 12sc)

Rnd 5: Ch4, turn, skip next sc, [dc in next tr, ch1, skip next sc] around; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-4). (12dc & 12ch-1sps)

Rnds 6-9: Rep Pattern Rnds 4-5 twice.

Rnd 10: Ch1, DO NOT TURN, dc in same st as joining, dc in next ch-1sp, [dc in next dc, dc in next ch-1sp] around; join with slst to first dc. (24dc)

Rnd 11: Ch4, [dc in next dc, ch1] around; join as before. (24dc & 24ch-1sps)

Rnd 12: Ch4 (counts as first tr), turn, sc in first ch-1sp, [tr in next dc, sc in next ch-1sp] around; join with slst to first tr. Finish off and weave in ends.

Weave drawstring through Rnd 10. Insert jar in cover and tie cord with bow.
