You’ll need:

Size 3 Crochet Thread (approximately 25 yards of color A [white], and 15 yards of color B [blue]);

Crochet hook 2 mm;

4oz. jar.

Size: 8.75” (22cm) circumference, 1.75” (4.5cm) wide

Stitches control: 1 row = 1.75” (4.5 cm).


Instructions

Granny Square

Make 4.

1st rnd: with color A, make an adjustable ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc now and throughout), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2) 3 times in ring, sl st in third ch of beginning ch-3: 12 dc;

2nd rnd: sl st in next 2 dc, (sl st, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 space, * ch 1, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 space, repeat from * 2 more times, ch 1, sl st in third ch of beginning ch-3: 24 dc;

3rd rnd: with color B, ch 1, sc in each st around, working 3 sc in each ch-2 space, sl st in first sc: 40 sc.

Finish off.

Assembly

Hold back sides of motifs together and work in back loops only. Join by repeating (sc, ch 1, skip next sc) across the side. Finish off and join each square in to create a strip. Then take the strip and join the two ends together. Secure all ends and slide over jar.
