Stylish Thick Cardigan

You'll need:
2,5 kg of thick Merino wool;
Knitting needles 20-25 mm.
Instructions
Cast on the needed quantity of sts + 2 selvedge sts.
Start working from garter stitchm making as whole work with length from 40 to 59 cm, which is the start of arm hole line, If you want your cardigan to be long, so knit at least 70 cm. Work without any increases or decreases.
Knit to the arm hole and mark its shape. Divide the total quantity of sts in half, e.g., 40:2. You'll get 20 sts for back and 20 sts for front. Selvedge sts will be included in this amount in front. As a result of dividing sts you'll get: 11 sts for the right front, 20 sts for the back, 11 sts for the left front.
After these calculations continue working and forming arm holes. Make 9 sts, knit last 2 sts together. Then 10 sts to neck hole, knit 2 sts together at placket. Bind off the sts and you'll get one front.
Knit back. Knit 2 sts together after selvedge st, then 14 sts and 2 more sts together, knit selvedge st as purl. Now make 18 sts to neck hole.
The second front is made in analogy with the first frot, bind off your work.
Sew the ready-made details with side seams. To make it, place the fronts to the back and connect them with knitchener stitch.
