You’ll Need:

450 (500) 550g of Shanina yarn (40% polyamide, 30% wool, 30% polyacryl; 75m/50g) in blue color;

Long circle knitting needles 9;

Crochet hook 6;

Blue satin lace 175 (185) 195 x 2.5 cm.

Size:

S (M) L-XL.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat A, pattern repeat A x 5 (6) 7 times, sts between two pattern repeats x once, pattern repeat B x 5 (6) 7 times, finish with sts after pattern repeat B and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stitches control: 11 sts x 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 49 (57) 65 sts and make 17 cm of rib between selvage sts, start and finish with 1 purl. Then, increase 1 st from both sides = 51 (59) 67 sts and work with relief pattern. In 7.5 cm = 14 rows (9.5 cm = 18 rows) 11.5 cm = 22 rows from rib, increase 1 st from both sides, 1 x 1 st in the next 4th row, 2 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 4 sts, 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 8 sts, 1 x 9 sts = 129 (137) 145 sts, include the increased sts in relief pattern. In 35 cm = 66 rows (39 cm = 74 rows) 43 cm = 82 rows from rib, bind off all the sts, the central 27 sts form neck-hole, outer 51 (55) 59 sts from each side – shoulder-sleeves.

Front

Make in the same way, but with V-shape neck-hole. For this, in 17 cm = 32 rows (21 cm = 40 rows) 25 cm = 48 rows from rib, make 1 knit st and 1 cross knit st out of 1 central st, divide your work between these sts and finish both sides separately, don’t start new diagonals in the center. For chamfer, make knit2tog x 14 times before selvage st and broaching after 1 selvage st in every 2nd row.

Assembly

Make shoulder and upper sleeve sides seams. Fasten back neck-hole with 1 row of “shrimp stitch.” Cast on 29 (33) 37 sts along the edges of sleeves and make 5 cm of rib, then, bind off the sts due to the ornament. Make side and lower edges of sleeves seams. Insert the satin lace, as it’s shown in the picture.
