Materials
Omi yarn from Lidia Crochet Tricot (60% cotton, 40% polyester), 3 balls (250g each, 73m)
Crochet hook size 8 for base (or 9 if you crochet tightly)
Crochet hook size 10 for body (or 11 if you crochet tightly)
Large yarn needle
Stitch markers

Finished dimensions: approximately 32 cm wide × 23 cm high
Creating the Base of the Bag
Make a slip knot and chain 17
Work single crochets into the back bumps, starting from the second bump (16 sc total)
Chain 1, turn, and make single crochets across each row for 5 rows (16 sc each row)
After the 5th row, make 1 extra single crochet in the last stitch to turn the corner
Make 4 more single crochets along the side (5 sc total on the corner)
Work 16 sc along the bottom edge of the starting chain
At the next corner, make an additional single crochet and 4 more along the side
Cut yarn and create a faux stitch to close the round neatly using a yarn needle
Weave in all ends
Crocheting the Body of the Bag (Jersey Stitch)
Switch to hook size 10
Attach yarn to the middle of a long side
Make a single crochet through the front loop and back bump, mark the first stitch
Continue sc around using front loop + back bump technique (42 stitches total)
To close each round: pull up a loop in the last stitch, insert hook into first stitch, pull loop through, yarn over and finish the stitch
For Jersey stitch: insert hook between two vertical bars of previous sc, make a sc, mark first stitch
Repeat Jersey stitch rounds until desired height (15 rounds = 22 cm)
Creating the Handles
Stop before last stitch of final Jersey round
Finish last stitch and mark first sc of the round
Make 5 sc
Skip 7 stitches
Chain 35 for handle
Attach chain with sc to the 8th stitch after skip
Make 14 sc across front
Skip 7 stitches
