Construction
Attaching the Zipper
Fold the crochet fabric in half. (The bottom edge should align with the top edge of the fabric).
The zipper should be facing up (it does not matter which direction the zipper sits). The zipper will attach in between the crochet fabric, along the edge.
Using the sewing needle and the sewing thread, attach the zipper to the top of the pouch using a Running Stitch.
Sewing the Pouch
Left Side
Using the long tail, created after finishing the crochet fabric; sew along the raw edge of the left side of the pouch.
Note: Sew down from the top and then back up again to ensure the pouch is securely closed. Repeat on the opposite side.
Sew the pouch using a Running Stitch or a Whip Stitch.
Right Side
Using yarn from the skein, cut a piece, approx. 20 inches long. Secure the yarn to the yarn needle, and sew along the folded, opposite raw edge to close the pouch.
Note: Sew down from the top and then back up again to ensure the pouch is securely closed.
Fasten off and weave in loose tails, clip any thread.
