Crochet Beautiful Dove

Materials Used
Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat 2 ply crochet cotton colors (106) Snow White and (749) Pink.
A crochet hook, I used a 1mm hook.
A darning needle to weave in ends.
Scissors.
Black cotton to embroider on the eye.
Size
Large dove (Using 8 ply yarn & a 3mm hook)
11cm wide x 11cm high or 4.25” wide x 4.25” high
Medium dove (Using 4 ply crochet cotton & a 1.5mm hook)
7cm wide x 8cm high or 2.75” wide x 3” high
Small dove (Using 2 ply crochet cotton & a 1mm hook)
5.5cm wide x 6.5cm high or 2” wide x 2.5” high
Head & Body
Using (106) Snow White work 3 ch.
Row 1: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each remaining ch. Turn. (2 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 3 sc in 1st st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 4: 2 ch, work 1 hdc in 1st st, 1 sc in next st, 1 hdc in last st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 5: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 6: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 2 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 7: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 8: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, 1 hdc in last st. Turn. (5 sts)
Row 9: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (5 sts)
Row 10: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 3 sts, 1 hdc in each of last 2 sts. Turn. (5 sts)

Neatening Row
Work 1 sl st in each st around to the start of row 15. (You will need to make sure you have a sl st in each st along the back for the wings to fit properly). Don’t turn or fasten off.
Tail
6 ch, miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of next 2 ch, 1 sl st in each remaining ch, sl st in 1st st of row 15. Turn. (Sl st in each of 1st 4 sts, 3 ch, miss 1st ch, 1 sc in each remaining ch and next st of tail piece, 1 sl st in each st remaining st and 1st st of row 15. Turn.) 2 times. (Sl st in each of 1st 4 sts, 3 ch, miss 1st ch, 1 sc in each remaining ch and next st of tail piece, 1 sl st in each remaining st and last st of row 15. Turn.) 2 times. Fasten off.
Near Wing
Join (106) Snow White about halfway between the top of the head and the beginning of the tail where shown.
Work 19 ch.
Row 1: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sl st in each of next 2 sts, 1 sc in each remaining ch. Sl st in each of next 2 sts towards tail on body on the wrong side. Turn. (16 sc)
Row 2: Work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts, 2 sc in the following st, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sts, sl st in the following st. 3 ch. (14 sc + 3 ch)
Row 3: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sl st in each of last 2 ch, 1 sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc in each of following 2 sts,1 sc in each of next 6 sts. Sl st in each of next 2 sts on body. Turn. (17 sc)
Row 4: Work 1 sc in each of 1st 7 sts, 2 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the following 6 sts, sl st in the next st. 3 ch. (17 sc + 3 ch)
Row 5: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of last 2 ch, 1 sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 sc in following st, 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in following st, 1 sc in each of last 7 sts, sl st in next st of body.

Far Wing
Join (106) Snow White 4 sts before the near wing.
8 ch.
Row 1: Work 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in each of next 3 ch, 1 sc in each of last 3 ch, sl st in each of next 2 sts on the body towards wing on the wrong side.
Turn.
Row 2: Work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 4 sts, sl st in next st. 2 ch. (6 sc + 2 ch)
Row 3: Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of next 7 sts, sl st in next st of body and 1st st of the near wing. Turn.
Row 4: 4 ch, miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each remaining ch, a joined sl st over 1st and 2nd sts of row 3, (3 ch, miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of last 2 ch, a joined sl st over next 2 sts of row 3) 2 times, 2 ch, work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in the wing. Fasten off.
Beak
Join (749) Pink to end of the head where shown.
1 ch. work 1 sc in the same place as join. Fasten off.
To Make Up
Weave in ends. Embroider an eye to the head.
