  • DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • HDC: Half double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through three loops.
  • FPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the front to back and around stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • BPDC: Yarn over. Insert hook around the stitch front back to front into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Special Stitches

  • Drop Dc (Drop Double Crochet): Yarn over. Insert hook into skipped stitch from previous round. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.
  • Bobble: (Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over. Pull through 2 loops.) 5 x’s. Yarn over. Pull through all 6 loops on the hook.

Notes

  • Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.
  • For SOME rounds you will turn; other rounds you will not! Pay CLOSE attention.
