Assemble The Chick

  • Fasten the eyes on row 5 from the top and leave 5 single crochets in between the eyes.
  • Fasten the beak one row below the eyes in the middle of the eyes.
  • Attach the wings one row below the eyes and 5 single crochets from the outside of the eyes. Pull the yarn to the top of the head so you can make a patch of hair on top of the chicks.
  • Fasten the feet with two strings of 2 inches/5 cm long to the body.

Notes

If you use the spring chicks for decoration, you can attach the eyes once the body is completed and you assemble the chick.

If you give this chick to a child, attach the eyes before stuffing the body and fasten the eyes by tying the ends together. This is to avoid eyes, beaks, and legs coming loose when children play with it.

Warning! Do not give this to young children who put toys in their mouths!

The time needed to crochet this pattern is an indication and depends on your skill level and your working speed.
