Supplies

Crochet hook size 3.5

Yarn hook

Fiberfill stuffing

Safety eyes (Do not use for children under 3 – instead, stitch on or crochet your eyes)

Yarn in:

  • Pretty n Pink
  • Light Pink
  • Pink
  • Black or embroidery thread

Abbreviations

  • hk – hook
  • ch - chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • sl st - slip stitch
  • st – stitch
  • sc2tog (=dec=inv dec) – decrease two single crochet stitches into 1 sc
  • ea – each
  • sk – skip
  • lps – loops
  • fo – fasten off

Head (Light Pink)

Rd 1: ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk (6)

Rd 2: 2 sc around (12)

Rd 3: (sc, 2 sc) around (18)

Rd 4-8: sc around (18)

Insert safety eyes at Rd 5, approx 2 st apart.

Rd 9: ((sc, sc2tog) around (12)

Rd 10: sc around (12)

Body – Pretty n Pink

FO light pink and switch to pretty n pink:

Stuff as you continue to work.

Rd 11-12: sc around (12)

Rd 13: (sc, 2 sc) around (18)

Rd 14-18: sc around (18)

Rd 19: (sc, sc2tog) around (12)

Rd 20: sc2tog around (6)

sl st, FO, finish stuffing and sew closed.

To give Piglet’s body some shape, as well as to create his body’s horizontal lines, you are going to reattach pretty n pink yarn at Piglet’s neck. Sl st all the way around. FO. Repeat three more times, leaving equal spacing between rds.

Snout (Pink)

Rd 1: ch 2, 7 sc in 2nd ch from hk (7)

FO pink and switch to light pink:

Rd 2: in back lps only, sc around (7)

Rd 3: sc around (7). sl st, FO

Use pretty n pink to embroider nostrils. Stuff and sew between Rds 6-8.

Use black yarn or embroidery thread to embroider a mouth and eyebrows as shown in the picture.

Ears (Pink) Make 2

Rd 1: ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hk

Rd 2: sc around (4)

Rd 3: (sc, 2 sc) around (6)

Rd 4-5: sc around (6)

Rd 6: sc in 5. 2 sc in last st (7). sl st, FO. Do not stuff. Sew between Rds 3-5.

Arms (Light Pink) Make 2

Rd 1: ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hk (5)

Rd 2-6: sc around (5). sl st, FO. Only stuff if you think it needs it. With the thickness of my yarn, I did not stuff. Sew arms to the body.

Feet (Light Pink) Make 2

Rd 1: ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in next 2 ch, 3 sc in end, work on the opposite side of foundation ch, sc in 2, 3 sc in last st (9)

Rd 2: sc around (9)

Rd 3: sc in 3, sc2tog, sc2tog, sc in 2 (7)

Rd 4: sc in 3, sc2tog, sc in 2 (6)

Rd 5-6: sc around (6) sl st, FO, stuff and sew to body.
