How to Crochet a Beautiful Little Thistle Flower: A Step-by-Step Guide

To crochet a Little Thistle Flower, you'll need yarn in shades of purple for the flower and green for the leaves, along with a suitable crochet hook. Enjoy!!!

- Yarn in green and pinkish-purple

- Corresponding hook

- Darning needle and scissors

Abbreviations

- ch = chain stitch

- dc = double crochet

- dc2tog = 2 dc stitched together (decreasing one)

- dtr = double trebble

- picot = made out of ch 2 and 1 dc

Instructions

R1: 5 dc

R2: 2 dc + 3x 1 dc + 2 dc

R3: 2 dc + 5x 1 dc + 2 dc

R4-7: 9x 1 dc

R8: 1 dc + 1 dc2tog + 3 dc + 1 dc2tog + 1 dc

R10: 3 dtr + 3 dtr + 1 dtr + 3 dtr + 3 dtr

R11: 5x (1 dc + 1 picot + skip 1 stitch) + 1 dc

You can either turn the thistles into a brooch or use them as an appliqué and sew them upon a bag, a pocket, a cushion.
