Joining Edge
Join front and back pieces together, with back sides adjacent, following the center loops as an indication; fix them with a couple of pins. Work with black yarn, having the right side (that in front of your eyes) be the orange one, and inserting the hook in both sides.
Join thread in the 2nd of a three-dc group that is at the tip of petals, * (sc, ch, dc, ch, sc) on 2nd dc of the next group, [(sc, ch, dc, ch, sc) in next sp] 4 times*; Repeat * to * all around, end with 10 ch (for the hole), sl st in first sc, turn 1 ch, sc in ea ch, sl st in last sc made on the border. Cut thread and weave in ends.
Notes
- Always substitute (also if not explicitly said) the first st in a row as follows:
- first sc with 1 ch, sc;
- first hdc with 2 ch;
- first dc with 3 ch;
- first tr with 4 ch...and so on;
- When you read "sl st to
", where the location is not immediately contiguous to the last stitch, this means of course "an appropriate number of sl sts for reaching ". - Also if I do not specify it, if you lasted on a previous row on a stitch (say st1), while you must start the next row in another stitch (say st2), make an appropriate number of sl sts to reach st2.
