This is a very quick project and requires only a couple of stitches so it’s very beginner friendly!
You will be holding two strands of yarn at the same time. This makes the basket really sturdy!
We will be working in rounds.

Materials

2-3 oz Super Bulky Yarn – Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick
L Hook – 8 mm Hook
Scissors

Tapestry Needle

Stitches

Magic Circle
CH - Chain
HDC - Half Double Crochet
SC - Single Crochet
SS - Slip Stitch

Let’s Begin!

ROUND 1
Create a Magic Ring, CH 1, SC 8 into the magic ring. SS in the top of the first SC to join (8 SC)
ROUND 2
CH 1, SC 2 in each stitch around, SS in the top of the first SC to join (16 SC)
ROUND 3
CH 1, (2 HDC in first stitch, HDC in the next stitch) repeat 7 times around, SS in the top of the first HDC to join (24 HDC)
ROUND 4

CH 1, SC in the back loops of each stitch around, SS in the top of the first SC to join (24 SC)

ROUND 5-7
CH 1, HDC in each stitch around, SS in the top of the first HDC to join (24 HDC)
ROUND 8

CH 1, HDC 5, CH 3, Skip Next 3 HDC, HDC 9, CH 3, Skip next 3 HDC, HDC 4, SS in the top of the first HDC to join (18 HDC, 6 CH)

ROUND 9

CH 1, SC 5, Work 5 HDC into the CH space, skip first HDC, SC 8, work 5 HDC into the CH space, SC 4, SS in the top of the first HDC to join ( HDC 10, SC 17)

ROUND 10
CH 1, loosely SS into each stitch around, SS to join

Fasten off, weave in all ends
