Pattern Notes
- Pattern uses US crochet terminology.
- Ch 2 and Ch 3 at beginning of rows does not count as a stitch.
For all of the flower sections, you can use your preferred method of intarsia or tapestry crochet for the colorwork. Intarsia crochet provides a cleaner look and is done by joining small balls of yarn at the start of each individual flower. Tapestry crochet creates less ends and carries the yarn using floats as you work the stitches.

Once you have finished those last two rows, you can continue working the rest of the blanket by skipping to the next section, or pause and crochet the rose petals onto the blanket.
To crochet the rose petals, do the following instructions: See the diagram photo below for where I placed my stitches.
First rnd of petals: Start by inserting your hook through one of the posts of the center gap of the rose gaps created in the previous rows. Then join red yarn by pulling through the post. Ch 3, then dc 4 around the post, sc around the post next to it. Sk to the bottom post of the gap, *dc 4 around post, sc 1 around post next to it. Repeat from * around the rest of the center gap. You will end rnd with 4 petals.
Second rnd of petals: Sk to the post of gap closest to where you finished the first rnd of petals, dc 5 around post, sc 1 around next post. *Sk to the post of the next gap, dc 5, sc 1 around next post. Repeat from * around the rest of the 4 petals from the previous rnd till you are at the beginning. You will end up with 5 petals.
Third rnd of petals: repeat the same process as the second rnd of petals, but crochet through the outer edge of the gaps. Fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat petal process for the other 6 roses.
Fifth Section: Basketweave
Repeat the instructions from the third section.
Sixth Section: Lilacs

To create each 3D daisy, do the following:
Daisy rnd 1: join Color F with a sl st around one of the stitches around the Color F bobbles, ch 1, sc 2 around the same stitch, sk to post of the next st and sc 2 around it, continue sc 2 8 more times around the stitches surrounding the bobbles till you reach the beginning of the rnd (you want a total of 20 stitches), join with a sl st to the ch 1 at the beginning of the rnd and switch to color H. Fasten off Color G.
Daisy rnd 2: *ch 6, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 1, hdc 1, sc 1, sk next st from the previous rnd and sc 1, repeat from * around, on last repeat sl st 1 instead of sc 1.
Fasten off and repeat the process to make the other 6 daisies.
Weave in ends.
