Creating the Shamrock
Leaf 1
Pull the yarn tail toward the hook hand, and crochet over that yarn tail. (in the second ch, slp st, ch4, trbl, hdc, trbl, ch4, slp st) The 1st leaf of the shamrock has been made.
Leaf 2
(in the second ch, slp st, ch4, trbl, hdc, trbl, ch4, slp st) The 2nd leaf has been made.
Leaf 3
(in the second ch, slp st, ch4, trbl, hdc, trbl, ch4, slp st) The 3rd leaf of the shamrock is made.
Creating the Stem
STEM: ch5, slp st in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch.
Finishing Touches
Last Step: slp st behind the shamrock, which will be the loop of the beginning chain.
To finish, I like to turn the shamrock over and tie the yarn tails with a surgeon's knot, then easily weave in the yarn ends.
