Fold work in half (from bottom to top) so that the short sides of both ends are lined up, using 5.00mm hook sl st along through both sides of work to make a round.

Continuing with 5.00mm hook from now on, turn your work on to the side so you are working in the row ends.

Thumb

Rejoin color 2 to the first of the 12 sc you skipped earlier, ch 1, work 1 sc in base of ch 1, 1 sc in each of next 11 sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Slip stitching and turning at the end of each row, work 8 more rows of 1 sc in each sc on these 12 sc. Fasten off. Turn.

Chain Ties

Using 4.00mm hook and color 2, ch 75. Fasten off.

Using color 2, make 4 pom-poms; I used Clover Pom-Pom maker number 20.

Finishing

Close small gap at base of thumb, gather top of thumb and top of mitt, weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off. Turn through to right side, working from the center on the front of mitt, thread chain tie through eyelet holes around top of cuff, attach a pom-pom to each end and tie in a bow.
