Ultimate Guide to Knitting a Stylish Grey Wool Scarf with Basso Yarn

You’ll Need:

500g of Basso yarn in grey color (100% wool; 32m/100g);

Knitting needles 20.

Size:

35 x 211 cm.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: start and finish every row with 1 selvage stitch.

Pattern Rows:

  • 1st row (WS): purl;
  • 2nd row (RS): * 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;
  • 3rd row (WS): purl, slip the yarn overs of the previous row.

Make 1st-3rd rows once, then, repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.

Stitches Control:

4 stitches x 4.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 14 stitches and work with the main pattern. In 211 cm = 95 rows from the set-up row, bind off all stitches as knit stitches.

Assembly

For each bunch of fringe, cut 3 threads of yarn 50 cm long and weave them into the ends of the scarf (5 pieces for each end).

I would love to have all of your stitch chart explanation to what your stitches mean. Such as with this scarf, what's (WS)?

Thank you.
