How to Crochet Beautiful Mélange Squares with Yarn




You’ll Need:
200g of mélange brown (#8) Ascot Lana Grossa yarn (57% wool, 25% viscose, 18% alpaca; 80m/50g);
150g of the same yarn, but in mélange rose color (#3);
150g of the same yarn, but in mélange turquoise color (#11);
Crochet hook 4.5.
Size:
147 x 42 cm.
Used Patterns
Square Motif:
Make 5 chain sts and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st and work due to the scheme with circle rows.
Colors Order:
For square 1, make a chain and 1st circle row with brown yarn, 2nd circle row – with turquoise yarn, 3rd circle row with pink yarn and 4th circle row – with brown yarn. For square 2, make a chain and 1st circle row with turquoise yarn, 2nd circle row with brown yarn, 3rd circle row with pink yarn and 4th circle row – with turquoise yarn. Make the last stitch of the previous row the same color as new row.
Stitches Control:
1 motif = 10.5 x 10.5 cm.
Instructions
Make 28 motifs of square 1 and square 2. Connect squares with slip sts using brown yarn according to the schematic drawing. For this, fold them RS inwards and insert crochet hook only on the front loop and draw stitch.
Fasten all the edges with 1 row of “crab stitch” using brown yarn.
