Knitting Instructions for a Pink Novita Samos Yarn Hat


You’ll Need:
100g of pink Novita Samos yarn (50% cotton, 50% acryl; 90m/50g);
Double-pointed knitting needles size 4.5.
Head Circumference:
48 cm.Stitches Control:
18 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.Instructions:
Cast on 92 sts and divide them onto 4 knitting needles. Make 4 cm of ribbing. Then, knit according to the scheme, starting from the 1st row A-C sections (totally, 4 times).
At first, complete the 1st-22nd rows, then repeat the 3rd-22nd rows.
At 17 cm length, begin decreasing sts while continuing to make cables during the 3 decreases.
Decreasing Stitches:
1st row of decreases: purl 2 together from both sides of cables, 16 sts have been bound off, leaving 76 sts.
2nd row of decreases: purl 2 together from both sides of cables, 16 sts have been bound off, leaving 60 sts.
3rd row of decreases: make purls with neighboring knit st from both sides of the cable, resulting in 44 sts.
4th row of decreases: knit 2 together resulting in 22 sts. Make 1 right side row.
5th row of decreases: knit 2 together resulting in 11 sts. Cut the yarn and fasten it.
Make a pom pom and sew it onto the hat.
