You'll Need:

9-10-11 skeins of pink (Rose The 1258) yarn Anny Blatt Angora Super (70% angora, 30% wool, 106m/25g);

2-3-3 skeins of pink (Rose The 1258) yarn Anny Blatt Victoria (100% polyamid, 100m/50g);

Knitting needles 3.5 and 4.5;

Crochet hook 3.5.

Size:

S-M-L (XL)

Used Patterns

Crossed 1 x 1 Rib

1st row: * 1 cross knit st, 1 purl; repeat from * to 1 last st, 1 cross purl.

2nd row: * 1 purl, 1 knit st, 1 purl; repeat from * to end.

Repeat 1st and 2nd rows.

Fancy Pattern

Knit according to the scheme, wrong side rows - according to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Repeat pattern's sts, finishing with sts after the pattern. Repeat from 1st to 4th rows.

Braid: knit on 9 sts according to the scheme, wrong side rows - according to the pattern. Repeat from 1st to 4th rows.

Stitches Control:

Fancy pattern with Angora Super yarn, knitting needles 4.5: 18 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Cast on 119-125-131 sts on knitting needles 4.5 with Angora Super yarn and knit with fancy pattern, starting and finishing with selvedge sts.

In 48-51-54 cm from the set-up edge, bind off in each 2nd row from the right side for the neckhole: 1 x 5 sts, 23 x 1 sts, 1 x 5 sts. At the height of 66-69-72 cm from the set-up edge, bind off the rest 86-92-98 sts.

Braid Placket:

Cast on 11 sts on knitting needles 3.5 with Victoria yarn and knit in the following way: selvedge st, 9 sts on the braids according to the scheme, selvedge st. At the height of 35-37-39 cm from the set-up edge, bind off the sts. Make another placket in the same way.

Assembly

Sew braid-plackets to the shoulder chamfers, starting from the neckhole (leave one seam unsewn). Cast on 140 sts on the neck hole and knit 1 row of knit sts on the wrong side and 3 cm of crossed 1 x 1 rib with Victoria yarn. Bind off the sts. Make the last shoulder seam and placket seam.

Fasten the lower edge of your poncho from both sides with Victoria yarn with 1 row of half single crochets, followed by 1 row of single crochets, catching 1 half-stitch from the half single crochet row with the crochet hook.

Cuffs:

Cast on 58-62-68 sts from both sides of braid-placket center width 33-36-39 cm with Victoria yarn and knit 1 row of knit sts on the wrong side and 3 cm of crossed 1 x 1 rib. Bind off the sts.

Sew the lower part of your poncho on the width 33 cm, starting with the cuffs.
