How to Knit a Beautiful Poncho with Yarn Patterns



You'll Need:
750 g of grey yarn and 200 g of dark-grey and white yarn (100% wool; 100m/100g);
Circle needles 5;
Hook 4.5 mm.
Bindings
Fancy pattern is made due to the scheme 1, ornaments - schemes 2 and 3, rib 2 x 2, wrong side, "shrimp stitch".
Stitch control: 12 sts and 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm with ornament scheme 2, knitting needles 5.
Instructions
Cast on 360 sts on knitting needles with dark-grey yarn and make a circle row with knit sts, then make the ornament according to scheme 1. After 22 rows from the beginning of work, knit the ornament according to scheme 2 with grey yarn. After knitting 128 rows of ornament on scheme 2, turn your poncho with the right side inward, make 12 rows in rib with white yarn, then knit 16 rows with ornament on scheme 3 and bind off the sts, don't fasten the edge. Knit the lower edge of your poncho with dark-grey yarn using a hook in "shrimp stitch". For the cuff, cast on 30 sts, knit 24 circle rows with ornament according to scheme 3 and bind off the sts. Make the second cuff the same way. Sew the cuffs to the lower edge of your poncho from the opposite sides.

This is a ver beautiful design but the pattern omits a lot of detail. Where does the shrimp stitch fit in?
